Special Interest Groups are Threatening the Viability of Eugene Motocross. The following is an appeal from the promotersHELP!!!!We need your help in putting together information for the Lane County Planning Department! In order for us to be able to continue enjoying our sport here at this location, we have to prove by documentation, that this track has been in existence since 1983. This means we need a "paper trail" if you will, showing that this track has indeed been running every year since 1983. Mike & I have been promoters here since 1990 and simply don't have the necessary documents to show proof that the track has been running from 1983 to 1993. That's where we need your help!!! Do you or anyone you know have any kind of proof? It could be an old signup sheet, a cancelled check, a newspaper article (with a date on it), old Cycle News article, pictures with dates on them, dated trophy, or a bill of sale for something that you sold to Roger Campbell (the previous promoter) or a receipt from Roger Campbell for something you bought from him.....or anything that show business was being done during those years! I know that this is a huge thing to ask but they tell us that we cannot have people just sign affidavits, they think that may appear self-serving, so we need the paper documentation. We only have about a week or so to provide this info - so the sooner we can get our hands on this stuff the better....
