Hi everyone it's Marlis here, your track promoter.

I'm sure you are wondering what in the world is going on with the summer schedule. Well I'll try to explain the best I can!

For those of you who don't know we have gone through a couple of years trying to prove that the race track is legal and should be allowed to run. We attended a hearing with Lane County in September and gave, what we thought, was excellent proof that we had been running the track in the summer months for at least 20 years. However, in their masterful minds they did not see it that way. So, what they told us was that we were a legal race track but we can only run our operations from September thru May of each year. Now for most of you that soulds terrible but listen....WE WON THE BATTLE! Our neighbors cannot shut us down! We are there to stay.....we just want to be able to run in the summer months not the winter months. The neighbors out there have been grossly misinformed my a very bitter lady named Kristi McSpadden. She has everyone (who will listen to her &%#@) convinced that what we are trying to do is run year around. That is not true we just want to do what we have been doing since Mike and I took over 16 years ago. And that is run races May thru October..........that's it!!!! You can't believe how hard it is to explain to people that all we want is 12 days out of 365!! I don't think that is asking too much. However, we have to play by the Counties rules and it takes time. I spoke to Tom Lanfear at the County office and he said with the entire process it could take up to 4 months to get a ruling for us and by that time the summer is already gone and we are at September when it is legal for us to run at this time.....so, in the meanwhile....I will continue to find a Land Use Attorney that will help us file the papers with all of the T's crossed and I's dotted. So far I have contacted 6 Attorneys who say they are too bogged down with other cases and they can't help me at this time. If anyone knows someone who can help please have them call me!!

I am just as frustrated as all of you are, but we MUST go through the proper channels and get this right so no one can come back on us later. Don't you agree that makes sense? Even if it means it will take a little more time?

I have been fighting this battle from the day we took over operation and I can tell you we are alot closer now than we ever have been. I want to thank all of you who have stepped up to help us and those of you who have supported us and our efforts all of these years! Please be patient and know that I am doing everything I can to have things set right for YOU!
